Everyone's Environment

We were so surprised a couple of weeks ago when we woke up and realized that our Mama and Aunt Mary were here! We got to go bowling with them and had a lot of fun. We went out to eat with them at a Mexican restaurant. The food was very good. They brought us clothes and all kinds of things. They even brought stuff for Mommy and Daddy. It was really nice because they were able to be here for William's birthday. It was also a lot of fun taking them to our church and introducing them to all of our new friends. She said she would be back in a few months and bring Papa with her. We can't wait!!!

Cynthia's Corner

I got to go shopping with my Mommy last week. The best part was that she took me to a restaurant we had never been to before! It was called "To Die For." I ate lasagna and my Mommy had a sandwich. The neat thing about the restaurant was that instead of chairs around the table, they had couches! We tried each other's food and we both thought it was very good. The restaurant was in a mall that just opened. It is called Paradise Park. After we ate, we went shopping. We went to a bookstore and looked at books for us to buy. Mommy bought me a book that's called The Thea Sisters. It is about five girls who are on a mission to get a plant that can heal the sheep on their farm. After we left the bookstore, we went to a grocery store that had a lot of American food. We found Dr. Pepper, grits, Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruity Pebbles, Captain Crunch, pop tarts, tortillas, salsa, and shredded cheese. Mommy said we are definitely going to have to go back to that store! I had a lot of fun because I got to spend time with my Mommy.

Lee's Life

This month was my birthday. We got to celebrate a day early because my Daddy left on a trip.

When my Mama and Aunt Mary were here last month, I got a couple of my presents then. They gave me two Dallas Cowboys shirts! My Aunt Rebecca sent me a package of Ticonderoga pencils. They are my favorite because she uses them! My family got me a lego set that make an airplane, a helicopter, and a boat. They are very fun to play with. I have already made every single one of them! I also got the book Moby Dick. I can't wait to read it! I also got a new watch and a set of goggles.

On my birthday, my Mommy took me out to eat. We went to The Pizza Company and ate pizza and onion rings! She bought me a set of play guns to play with. I had a really fun time with her. The funniest part of my birthday was what happened to my cake. It was an ice cream cake. My Mommy was in a hurry to put it up before Daddy left that she accidentally put it in the refrigerator instead of the freezer! It almost completely melted so we didn't get to eat it. But that's okay because we are going to get another cake to eat this week.

Andrew's Actions

I had so much fun with my Mommy last week. She took me to Bar-B-Q Plaza because she loves me and that's my favorite restaurant. At that restaurant you can eat chicken and rice and a special bar-b-q. It's a really neat place to eat because you have to cook your own food at your table! You get your food fast. After we ate, we went to buy groceries. Then we got ice cream! We went and sat at a table and then they brought us free water to drink just because we sat down! I was really glad that I went with my Mommy because I had a lot of fun.

William's World

Little William turned one year old on August 26th!!! He had such fun on his birthday because his Mama (Randy's Mom) and Great Aunt Mary were here to celebrate with us. Finally, after having five children, I have figured out how to wrap the baby's presents. Take things out of their packages, make sure they work, and THEN wrap them! This first birthday was so entertaining. It was fun to watch and see what his reactions were and how he would play with his things when he unwrapped them.

Watching him open his cup was hilarious! Cynthia told me while I was wrapping it, "He'll probably try to drink out of it and then get mad because it has a lid on it!" She was pretty much right.

Most children when they have a birthday would rather receive toys than clothes. It seems William already understands that concept! He opened a present that had clothes and toys in it. He threw the clothes behind him to get to the toy! We kept the Mexican tradition of him taking the first bite out of his birthday cake.

As I thought back to a year ago when little William was born, I again thanked the Lord for His protection over us through the early hours of that morning. Things could have gone so differently but God worked miracles as only He can.

The little 5 pound 1 ounce baby we had has grown into a 21 pound sweetheart! He is the main attraction anywhere we go with his white complection, big brown eyes, and red hair! Only God knows what this little boy will do with his life. We look forward to seeing how God will use him for His glory.
